  The First Baptist Church is one of the largest churches in Abbeville but also a very friendly atmosphere. They have a very active youth program and they also put on a great Bible School every summer.

  The Fist Baptist Church is one of the largest churches in Abbeville witch is true. The people can be very friendly at first until the find out that you do NOT as money. Then the ALL look down there noses at you. The , Pastor is all about money. Seen him, ask about peoples parents income and he passes judgment about the people on about money. Sunday school teachers do talk to the pastor before teaching the classes. They change the Words in the Bible to sute there needs at the time. I have see a whole Sunday school class turn against someone when they point out that the bible says and not what they want it to say. I thought Sunday school was about learning and asking questions not condemning a person for reading the words right in the bible. Stay a way from this church is you a blue collar worker your not wanted. They do put on a good show at first until you start seeing there true colors. Church does little to NOTTING for the local community they more worried about out of the US then there right outside there door. How SAD a big church like that and they do not care. It is just a matter of time before the church will loss everything like so many has before or hopefully they can change something's around. finding a better pastor would be a good start. they say he is one of the best out there. I hope not because if he is we are all in trouble.
